Homework
This week I'm going to talk about homework. The homework load compared to high school is very different for me. To be honest I don't think I did any homework my senior year. Also, you have to study all the time too. Which I think I might of studied a couple times in high school. So, now where I have a ton of homework all the time and have tests every other week it has been very hard to get use too. Plus on all of that fine time to just relax or hang out with friends. I have also found out my time management skills need some work. I always tell myself I'm not going to wait till the last minute, then what do I do? Wait till the last minute, which makes everything way more stressful. As the weeks have gone on and I get use to the homework load, I am getting way better about it. Honestly my first week here I had 2 missing assignments and one of them was a quiz! Never in my life have a had missing work so that stressed me out even more but was a big wake up call for me. This is not high school anymore and I need to get my act together. So hopefully as the weeks go on, it keeps getting better.

For my blog this week I am going to talk about tailgating for the football game. I have only went to one tailgate so far but it was so much fun! It is a great way to meet new people and show school spirit with your fellow broncos before the game! Plus the football team is doing great this year which makes it even more fun. I love getting to get dressed up in my Western stuff then hanging out with everyone at the tailgate. Everyone looks so good in their Wester gear, I love seeing people with face tattoos or stickers! I think everyone should go because it is a once in a lifetime experience to tailgate for your schools football team with all your friends. I can't wait for the football game this weekend.

This week on my blog I am going to talk about how I am trying to stay in shape during my first year of college and not gain the freshmen 15. It is super hard when you go to the cafe twice a day and they have the same things to offer everyday like pizza, hamburger or cheeseburgers, grilled cheese, pasta and more. Especially if you are a picky eater like me your choices are even more limited. It does help that Western is a bunch of hills and just to get to my dorm in Valley 1 I have to walk up a hill and then 4 flights of stairs. My roommate and I try to go to the gym everyday or every other day to stay in shape. Sometimes it is scary when all the guys are lifting weights and you don't really know how to work the machines. Also walking to every class helps too. I try to switch up my food everyday but I don't think eating pizza 3 times a week is good for you. I guess I just need to try new things and quit being so picky if I want to stay healthy. Also I tried the Zumba class at the rec the other day and it was really fun! Also it's free as a freshmen to go to the classes so that is another way I am going to stay in shape. Next I really want to try to go to a yoga class if I can find time. My favorite time to go is the 8:45 class. Going to the gym with your friends I also think helps you because they can hep push you!

For my first blog I am going to talk about my first week of college and leading up to it. Out of all my friends I was the last to leave for school, so the last couple weeks of summer I kinda just sat around with nothing to do. This made me so excited to leave and start the new chapter in my life. Since getting here I've realized how much I actually love me family and miss them. I didn't think I was going to be home sick, I thought I was ready for this. The trust is, I'm sad and I really miss my old life. As the days goes on I start to feel better, but in the pit of my stomach I always have that uneasy feeling. Which I'm hoping will just go away with time. This past week has taught me so much about my self and actually made me a stronger person. I'm hoping things will get easier with time but until then I'm just going to take it day by day.
